I had a big event coming up and randomly broke out, so I needed a good spot ASAP. Found MeSO, and honestly, it was even better than expected. Came with my friend, and the vibe was super chill and comfy. I was exhausted, so I got an IV drip, and it totally perked me up for the rest of the day. Tried RF Microneedling for the first time too, and my skin felt so smooth and calm afterward—definitely helped my breakout chill out.

I went to Meso Medspa for the Rejuran treatment because my friend got it here and the staff was so helpful throughout the whole process. They first do an evaluation with a high-tech skin scan and it takes photos of your problem areas and the reason your skin is aging. After the informative consultation, they said I am the perfect candidate for the Rejuran treatment and they prepped me with numbing cream. The treatment involves multiple microinjections around the cheek and chin area with an injector device.

Have been noticing my pores more prominently recently, so my wife made an appointment for me using the website. The location is easy to find, they have their logo displayed on the windows so it’s hard to miss. Apparently they recently renovated so inside looks very nice and clean. To be honest, I was expecting to be the only guy there, but there were a handful of other guys getting treatment done too.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. June did a skin analysis before treatment and took her time to explain everything. She was so sweet and lovely to work with. I really appreciated that the aesthetician, S, wanted to be conservative with treatment since it was my first visit. The entire experience was very easy, and I didn't feel pressured to do anything additional. Also their prices were amazing.

I absolutely love this med spa! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, welcoming, and beautifully decorated the space was — it has such a cute and calming vibe that instantly puts you at ease. Our injector, Jenny, was fantastic. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but she’s also refreshingly honest and straightforward. She took the time to really listen to our concerns and thoroughly explain our options without ever making us feel pressured. What I appreciated most was that she didn’t try to upsell or push Botox if it wasn’t necessary, which speaks volumes about her integrity and genuine care for her clients.

This was one of the best experiences I have had in a Medical Spa. I felt very welcomed because the atmosphere was professional but warm at the same time. I really appreciated Esther and all the girls that helped me from the skin consultation to the treatments themselves! I did one session of RF lifting and HIFU treatments and my skin was glowing afterwards. In addition I was taken to a room in the back where I had a one on one time with a esthetician who applied a collagen mask and explained to me in detail all the ways it was good for my skin.

I went to Me:So Medspa a few weeks ago. I am 71 years old and was curious about some of their treatments for a 'refresh'. Jenny was amazing. She made suggestions for my concerns and I ended up with the Microson HIFU with Oligio X treatment. Everything was explained in detail and Karen was also very professional with her involvement of my procedure. Deep 11's so much better, marionette lines vanishing! The salon has had a total makeover from its former business. Very relaxing atmosphere

I absolutely LOVE it here! The K-Beauty treatments are amazing, and I’m really enjoying the products as well. I had the most thorough and thoughtful consultation with Jasmine—she was honest, classy, and completely professional. Then I received a phenomenal facial from Karen. Her touch was incredibly gentle yet effective. After that, I had laser hair removal with Nurse Jenny, who was not only highly professional but also very informative. Every step of my visit exceeded my expectations!

The checkin process & initial skin analysis was smooth and super helpful, they answered all questions about different skincare treatments as well as pricing (they were very transparent). The Difference Between Trending Skin Boosters Rejuran (PN) and Salmon Injection (PDRN) and Their…

The Difference Between Trending Skin Boosters Rejuran (PN) and Salmon Injection (PDRN) and Their Effects on Scars at MeSo MedSpa Today’s main focus is on Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) and Polynucleotide (PN). PDRN may not be well known to everyone, but it’s been widely used by healthcare professionals for quite some time. It’s primarily used to accelerate the wound healing process, but lately, it’s been used for a variety of other purposes. Rejuran, I’m Sure You’ve Heard of It? PDRN Rejuran , a representative form of PN , is already extremely popular. As a leading skin booster in recent years, it’s been widely discussed on social media for its benefits on pores, skin elasticity, fine lines, and dryness (also known for improving the skin barrier). You’ve probably come across plenty of posts about its price, benefits, and how it works. But today, I’d like to take a different approach. Rejuran In addition to addressing issues like fine lines and dryness, Rejuran has been used quite frequently for scars, including those that are still healing or immature (such as acne scars in the process of healing). So, let’s take a closer look at the differences between Polynucleotides ( PN ), found in Rejuran , and Polydeoxyribonucleotides ( PDRN ), which has been used for scar treatments and wound healing for quite some time, and explore how both of them work for scars. What Are PDRN (Salmon Injection) and PN (Rejuran), and What’s the Difference? PDRN and PN are similar DNA-derived substances that have been recognized for their roles in wound healing and skin regeneration since the 1990s. These substances are both extracted from the reproductive cells of salmon. PDRN is extracted from the sperm (seminal fluid) of salmon. PN is extracted from the testes of salmon. The Difference and Effects of PN and PDRN Marques C, Porcello A, Cerrano M, Hadjab F, Chemali M, Lourenço K, Hadjab B, Raffoul W, Applegate LA, Laurent AE. From Polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRNs) to Polynucleotides (PNs): Bridging the Gap Between Scientific Definitions, Molecular Insights, and Clinical Applications of Multifunctional Biomolecules. Biomolecules. 2025 Jan 19;15(1):148. PDRN and PN are made up of DNA fragments that form high-molecular compounds, typically ranging from 50–1500kDa, though more recent studies have found fragments with sizes ranging from 1kDa to 10,000kDa. Both PDRN and PN stimulate the A2A receptor in fibroblasts, which in turn triggers the production of cAMP, leading to the activation of Protein Kinase A (PKA). PKA directly affects cell growth, survival, and differentiation, contributing to tissue regeneration and wound healing. These effects have made PDRN and PN widely used in skin treatments. In Rejuran , 2ml contains 40mg of PN . To go into more detail about the types of Rejuran : Rejuran Healer , Rejuran Eye , and Rejuran S all contain the same amount of PN per ml, but they differ in viscosity. Rejuran HB Plus contains half the amount of PN per ml, but it also includes hyaluronic acid and anesthetics. PN is a larger molecule compared to PDRN , and it tends to bond more easily with water molecules, which increases its moisturizing effects. Additionally, the larger size of PN allows it to act as a supporting structure, much like a filler, which is a key difference between PN and PDRN . PN also remains in the skin for a longer period of time, providing prolonged effects. Effects of PDRN and PN on Scars As discussed earlier, when PDRN binds to the A2A receptor, cAMP levels increase, which leads to the activation of PKA. This activation directly impacts cell growth, survival, and differentiation, ultimately promoting tissue regeneration and wound healing. Therefore, PDRN is particularly effective for scars that are not fully matured yet. This includes red acne scars, fresh wound scars, and burn scars. PN (think of Rejuran ) acts similarly to a filler and has long-lasting effects. It also creates a more humid environment, which makes it especially effective for scars. This is why PN has become more popular for scar treatment recently, with more studies available on its use compared to PDRN . For example, several studies have shown improvements in scar texture and redness (erythema) after just 2 to 3 treatments with Rejuran S . The role of PN , as a larger molecule that can act like a filler, is particularly useful for atrophic (sunken) acne scars. It provides volume and supports the skin in the healing process, while also maintaining its effect for a longer period. Additionally, PDRN has anti-aging benefits such as: Improving skin texture Increasing DNA synthesis for wound healing and regeneration Inhibiting tyrosinase (helping with pigmentation) Improving hair quality Recently, Rejuran ’s popularity has been growing rapidly, and I believe the reason behind its success is clear. It has both theoretical backing and clear, visible results, with safety being another significant factor. I recommend that, rather than focusing only on interval spacing or embossing, you should understand the potential effects and make sure you know exactly what results you’re aiming for when receiving the treatment. Rejuran is not only effective for moisturizing, pores, fine lines, and redness but also works wonders for scars. I hope it becomes more widely recognized as a skin booster that’s effective for scars too! :) About Us Me:SO Medspa Opening Hours: Monday — Friday : 10:00 AM — 7:00 PM Saturday : 10:00 AM — 7:00 PM Sunday : Closed Address: 20321 SW Acacia St, Suite 150, Newport Beach, OC, CA 92660, USA 5585 E. Good Heat vs Bad Heat for Your Skin: If You Don’t Know, Your Skin Could Be Damaged at MeSO MedSpa

Good Heat vs Bad Heat for Your Skin: If You Don’t Know, Your Skin Could Be Damaged at MeSO MedSpa

Hello, this is MeSO MedSpa. One common treatment that delivers heat to the skin is laser lifting. So, if we’re in a hot environment, can heat lift our skin? Today, I’m going to explain the difference between good heat and bad heat for your skin. Understanding this can help with anti-aging, and it will also provide you with key information to make your skin healthier. Stay with me! Good Heat vs Bad Heat: The Criteria Heat on your skin can be like a double-edged sword, or the two sides of a coin. It can be beneficial or harmful. So, naturally, we want to avoid the harmful heat and only choose the good. There are two main criteria for distinguishing good from bad heat: (1) Depth of Heat (2) Temperature of Heat Let’s dive into this in more detail. Good Heat: Laser Lifting Treatments like Ulthera, Thermage, and Oligio X, Micro-Lifting at MeSO MedSpa all work by applying heat to different layers of the skin to lift and tighten it. The heat causes skin tissue to contract and stimulates fibroblasts to increase collagen production. a. Depth of Heat Dermis Layer All lifting treatments primarily stimulate fibroblasts in the dermis to boost collagen production and contract existing collagen. This is the ideal depth for optimal results. Fat Tissue Treatments like Ulthera and Micro-Lifting use heat to target the fat layer to help shrink it. SMAS Layer High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatments like Ulthera work on the SMAS layer, providing a powerful lifting effect. The common feature of good heat for the skin is that it should reach layers deeper than the epidermis. The epidermis doesn’t respond well to heat; it can dry out the skin and cause burns if the temperature exceeds 44°C. The key to lifting lasers at MeSO MedSpa is to apply heat to deeper layers while protecting the epidermis. This is why a cooling system that minimizes heat exposure to the epidermis is critical. b. Temperature of Heat Most lifting lasers generate heat at temperatures between 43–70°C. This range is ideal for stimulating collagen contraction and fibroblast activity. At the same time, this temperature does not activate MMP (Matrix Metalloproteinase) enzymes, which are responsible for breaking down collagen. These enzymes are primarily activated at temperatures between 37–40°C, so maintaining a temperature between 43–70°C helps increase collagen production without promoting its breakdown. Bad Heat: Skin Aging Bad heat for the skin comes from environmental factors like sunlight and saunas, which raise skin temperature. Here are five harmful effects that result from this type of heat: a. Reduced Moisture → Dry Skin As skin temperature rises, moisture evaporates more quickly, leading to skin dryness. Although it feels humid in the summer, the skin can still become dry. b. Dry Skin → Increased Sebum When skin is dry, it produces more sebum to prevent further moisture loss. This disrupts the skin’s moisture-oil balance. c. Increased Sebum → Acne and Breakouts Excess sebum can clog pores and lead to acne or other skin issues. When sebum accumulates, it can cause folliculitis and other skin problems. d. Decreased Collagen → Loss of Elasticity, More Wrinkles When skin temperature rises above 37°C, MMP enzymes break down damaged collagen and even healthy collagen. This process leads to a decrease in collagen and results in less skin elasticity and more wrinkles. e. Blood Vessel Expansion → Redness To cool down the skin, blood vessels expand to release heat. This can cause redness. Repeated episodes can cause the blood vessels to stay dilated, resulting in persistent redness. Analyzing Bad Heat Using Two Criteria a. Depth of Heat Heat from external environments penetrates the outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis. Unlike deeper layers, the epidermis doesn’t handle heat well; it evaporates moisture and can cause burns at temperatures above 44°C. b. Temperature of Heat External heat typically raises skin temperature to around 37–42°C, but it cannot exceed 44°C, as that’s when burns occur. This range of heat activates MMP enzymes, accelerating skin aging. Now, you should be able to distinguish between good and bad heat for your skin. Good heat should protect the epidermis while delivering heat to the deeper layers, which is why lasers at MeSO MedSpa are effective. You should avoid thinking that any heat, even without lasers, can provide lifting effects without risking harmful heat exposure. We hope the information we shared helps protect your precious skin! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at MeSO MedSpa. We’ll be back with another exciting topic next time! The Two Giants of Lifting! HIFU vs. RF, Which Is Better? at MeSO Medspa

The Two Giants of Lifting! HIFU vs. RF, Which Is Better? at MeSO Medspa

Hello, this is MeSO Medspa. Today, let’s talk about the difference between HIFU, the ultrasound lifting treatment, and RF, the radiofrequency lifting treatment — their unique features and how each can transform your skin. Lost firmness in my face… As we age or neglect skincare, we often feel like our facial firmness has declined. On top of that, you may notice deepening nasolabial folds and sagging facial lines in the mirror, which is usually when people start looking up lifting treatments. But the world of lifting treatments can feel overwhelming with so many options. In fact, they can be broadly categorized into two types depending on the energy used: Ultrasound (HIFU) and Radiofrequency (RF) . HIFU, what is ultrasound lifting? HIFU uses high-intensity ultrasound to deliver energy deep into the skin, reaching the SMAS layer (the fascia). Simply put, it works like a magnifying glass focusing sunlight onto one spot to ignite fire. At MeSO, our Micro Lifting treatment works on this principle. The ultrasound energy generates high heat (42–45℃) deep within the skin, causing collagen contraction and fat cell apoptosis, which helps reduce sagging tissue. Then what are the mechanisms and effects? First, the heat restructures collagen. As the skin attempts to repair the “damage,” new collagen production is stimulated. Second, it triggers apoptosis (programmed cell death) of fat cells, reducing excess fat in areas like sagging cheeks or double chin. That’s why HIFU is ideal for facial contour lifting — for those who want a defined V-line, to tighten sagging cheeks, or to smooth out fine lines around the eyes and jawline. Then what is RF, radiofrequency lifting? RF uses radiofrequency energy to gently deliver heat into the skin via electrical currents. It feels like placing a warm compress on your skin, creating a soothing warmth from within. At MeSO, our Oligio X operates on this principle. RF energy evenly penetrates the dermis, producing heat between 40–55℃. Around 45℃, abundant type 1 and type 3 collagen are generated. Mechanism and effects of RF lifting? The heat contracts existing collagen fibers while activating fibroblasts, inducing new collagen production. At the same time, it stimulates hyaluronic acid synthesis, which makes the skin plumper, firmer, and more hydrated. This makes RF ideal for those with overall loss of elasticity, rough skin texture, or enlarged pores. In particular, for patients with little facial fat or thin, sensitive skin, treatments like Oligio X are recommended. Since RF is gentle and safe for delicate skin, more and more people are seeking it out. Patients often report that RF makes their skin feel smoother in texture with noticeable elasticity from deep within. HIFU vs. RF, which treatment is right for me? If you need facial contour lifting or want to tighten sagging lines → HIFU (e.g., Micro Lifting). If your goal is overall elasticity and texture improvement, or if your skin is thin and sensitive → RF (e.g., Oligio X). One important note! HIFU and RF work even better when combined. For example, HIFU sharpens facial contours while RF smooths skin texture, doubling the effect. Since they target different skin layers, combining both treatments often brings higher satisfaction. Rather than asking which treatment is better, the key is choosing the right one based on your skin type and concerns — or combining both for maximum effect. At MeSO, we provide thorough skin assessments and personalized lifting solutions, so feel free to visit us for a consultation anytime.
